Back in July at the Big Bear Shootout Round #1, Jim took a nasty crash while racing. Without the help of SHO-AIR owner Scott Tedro and Cytomax/KHS Chuck Jenkins, Jim may not be here today. The two riders sacrificed their respective class wins to care for the fallen Garwood, until medical personal could arrive and take over. Their quick and selfless actions literally saved Jim’s life. Since then, Tedro and Garwood have formed a friendship that could only be forged under such dramatic circumstances.

We a glad to report that Jim is well on his way to recovering from the accident that almost took his life four months ago. He is back at home with family and friends as he continues to get better each and every day.
